Goal #3- System Targets
The Superintendent will set specific one year system targets.
This goal will address Strategic Plan Goals 1, 2 and 5
Due to the fact that CCRPI score reporting is always lagging and the Georgia Milestones will not be scored until the fall of 2015, 2013-14 CCRPI scores have been used as a preliminary measure for the following performance targets. The use of lagging student achievement data is commonly used by the state for accountability and Teacher/Leader Effectiveness.

#1- Temporary one-year strategic plan targets are necessary because testing is changing.
#2- Board will have an opportunity to see draft targets and have discussion and input.
#3- Principals and directors will have input into targets.
#4- Additional information asked for by the Board will be provided.

EVIDENCE
#1- Director of Assessment reported to the Board on the statewide changes that affects testing district-wide.
#2- Board had an opportunity to review the draft goals no less than three times: once during a retreat, once during a public meeting and one time during an executive session.

I. Math: During the 2014-15 school year City Schools of Decatur will achieve the following math goals: Based on the 2013-14 CCRPI report CSD has met 5 out of 6 of the following performance targets.
A. CSD elementary district level scores will meet or exceed the CCRPI math performance targets for the black student group on GMAS End of Grade tests. Met
B. CSD middle grades district level scores will meet or exceed the CCRPI math performance targets for the black student group on GMAS End of Grade tests. Met
C. CSD high school district level scores will meet or exceed the CCRPI math performance targets for the black student group on Analytic Geometry GMAS End of Course tests. Met
D. CSD elementary district level scores will meet or exceed the CCRPI math performance targets for the Students With Disabilities (SWD) student group on GMAS End of Grade tests. Not Met
E. CSD middle grades district level scores will meet or exceed the CCRPI math performance targets for the SWD student group on GMAS End of Grade tests. Met

II. College and Career Readiness: During the 2014-15 school year City Schools of Decatur will achieve the following college and career readiness goals:
Based on 2014-15 student record data CSD has met 4 out of six of the following performance targets.
A. 100% Percent of students in grades 1-5 will complete the identified number of grade specific career awareness lessons (CCRPI) aligned to Georgia’s 17 Career Clusters. (Grades 1-3 will complete three Expeditionary Learning aligned career awareness lessons and grades 4-5 will complete four International Baccalaureate aligned career awareness lessons.) Met
B. 100% Percent of students will complete 2 or more state defined career related assessments/inventories and a state defined Individual Graduation Plan by the end of grade 8. Met
C. 80% of Decatur High School graduates will complete a CTAE pathway, or an advanced academic pathway, or a fine arts pathway, or a world language pathway within their program of study. Met
D. Decatur High School will maintain a 4-year and 5-year cohort graduation rate of 90% or greater. Met
E. Decatur High School will maintain overall SAT/ACT scores above national averages. (Data not available)
